Before & after emotions
Notice not only what kids are doing or feeling at a certain point but also what they were doing or feeling in relation to your product before and after that point.
Why this technique
Knowing the before and after contexts has design implications. For example, knowing that a kid was bored in general isn’t as actionable as knowing what happened before and after they were bored. This context allows you to learn what caused the feeling plus whether or how any issues were resolved.
