Separate content

Rather than assess a child’s understanding as they interact with the product, separate the learning content from the product itself; for instance, with an activity sheet or other activity.

Why this technique
Separating the content from the actual product allows you to eliminate any distractions or confusion caused by the product’s instructions, mechanics, or usability, allowing you to focus solely on assessing learning.
