Design to determine

Have children design a part of the product that relies on their knowledge of the learning content, such as hint prompts or new puzzles with answer keys.

Why this technique
Many children are uncomfortable with feeling judged and are scared of tests. Turning assessment into a design activity makes it more enjoyable and comfortable, allowing them to tackle the challenge without fear of failure.
