Adjective ask

Create a short list of kid-friendly, age-appropriate adjectives or descriptive phrases (e.g., fun, boring, for kids, for grown-ups), and ask the kid to choose which ones apply to the product. Remember to ask why, and clarify which the kid sees as positive or negative attributes.

Why this technique
Kids may have trouble answering open-ended questions about a product, but they can provide specific feedback when given a list of options to choose from. The adjectives they choose will open up a deeper conversation about their thoughts on the product.
