You’re the expert
“Grown-ups are making this game. They’re not kids and so they need kids to tell them what’s really fun about it and what’s not so fun. That way they can make the parts that aren’t fun really fun for everyone. Can you help us? There are no right or wrong answers.”
Why this technique:
Kids are used to adults having all the answers. By emphasizing that the kids are the experts, you empower them to share their own opinions, instead of looking to the adults in the room for answers.
