Buddy system

Set up your session to either include two kids on one device—taking turns and commenting on each other’s play—or two kids with their own device—so they can show each other what they’re doing and compare.

Why this technique
Kids will naturally think aloud together, and you don’t have to ask as many questions. While kids may influence each other, and one may be more dominant than the other, this setup is often more fun and helps shy kids participate.
